All of us inherently know ourselves. Inside our minds and bodies, there is a connected experience in which we alone know the uncounted trials, victories, and variations of thought and collected memories. As the poet, Rumi, reminds us, “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” We are vast creatures with profound potential to feel, love, build, and communicate desire yet an astounding amount of what we sense and envision remains within.

Our Eight Golden Values

Select to learn more about the values you will find throughout the . These are the pillars of what we believe creates a healthy relationship to self.

  • Paradoxes by their nature hold a delicate balance between opposing truths. Think about phrases like "less is more" or "getting lost is finding oneself." They challenge the thinking patterns we usually follow and lead us to explore territories filled with profound insights.

Embracing these paradoxes not only stimulates our intellect but also brings a sense of peace and acceptance to our everyday lives. When we try to categorize emotions, experiences, or even our identities into black and white categories we trap ourselves in an endless pursuit of unattainable clarity. Understanding that life operates in shades of gray rather than in absolutes allows us to adapt gracefully to different situations. It is in this flexibility that we find tranquility amidst uncertainty and the strength to flourish in all circumstances.

  • We are often encouraged to specialize in specific skills or focus solely on certain aspects of ourselves while limiting others. Yet, the path of transformation often involves uniting all of ourselves rather than denying our depth and complexity.

Growth of self is not about excelling in one area but rather expanding our horizons across all dimensions of who we are. When we recognize and honor the harmonious combination of our intellect, emotions, and perceptions we feel connected and find peace.

For those moments when we feel disconnected or overwhelmed this holistic philosophy provides comfort. It reminds us that we don't have to prioritize one part of ourselves above others. We can seamlessly integrate our roles as thinkers, feelers, doers and dreamers.

  • Imagination is not simply daydreaming, as it serves as a portal for us to envision the possibility of exploring beyond what's immediately apparent. It allows us to see the world in all its potential rather than being confined by its limitations.

At its core imagination brings hope. In the midst of life’s challenges and hardships, imagination paints portraits of brighter days ahead and illuminates paths in our darkest times.

In our world, where numbers and facts often dominate we tend to underestimate the power of imagination. We prioritize evidence over emotions and analysis over innovation. Yet throughout history, significant advancements in scientific discoveries, technological marvels and societal changes have been driven by those who sought to envision beyond and dared to dream.

  • The idea of vulnerability often brings to mind notions of fragility or weakness in a society that values invincibility and strength. However if we delve deeper we can uncover resilience and vitality within vulnerability.

At its essence, vulnerability represents the core of our emotions and principles. It's the tremor we experience when we expose our hearts and the discomfort that often accompanies self disclosure. Yet it is in these tender moments that we forge the most authentic connections that foster trust and establish the foundation for lasting relationships.

Real strength isn't solely demonstrated through resilience or defiance. It is also reflected in our ability to be open to trust others and reveal ourselves. When we embrace our vulnerabilities we not only discover our inherent power but also inspire others to acknowledge their own. Within vulnerability lies deep courage and an indomitable spirit.

  • Human connection lies at the core of our existence. As beings we have a natural inclination towards forming meaningful bonds. Creating connections goes beyond mere casual interactions. It requires us to be vulnerable, authentically open, and most importantly, brave.

This bravery can be nurtured by embracing our vulnerabilities and showing our selves, unfiltered and authentic rather than conforming to societal expectations. Interestingly it is often our perceived flaws that resonate the most with others forming the basis for relationships.

  • When we apply Compassionate Curiosity to our world we approach our emotions and thoughts with gentleness without judgment. We are able to combine a desire to explore deeply with a compassionate heart which goes beyond investigation and encompasses understanding infused with kindness.

With Compassionate Curiosity, we can notice and approach unsettling feelings like anxiety or uncertainty with tenderness and compassion. When finding emotional issues or physical unrest, we can seek to explore the origins and underlying expressions rather than judging ourselves harshly or criticism that only condemns. This acceptance and introspection leads to self-connection, insight, and healing.

  • The transformative power of being fully present through our senses serves us in a litany of ways. Mentally and emotionally focusing on our experiences serves as more than a grounding technique, but a sanctuary that quiets the external noise and brings peace to the internal chatter of our minds.

Our senses transcend their biological functions; they are dynamic threads that intricately weave together our experiences, enhancing understanding, and evoking deep appreciation. This allows us to cultivate a sense of wonder, gratitude and a deeper connection to our surroundings.

  • As we live in all the complexities of our adult lives how might we embrace a childlike nature? One way might be taking a long look at how we play. Do we make time to engage in creative and imaginative revelry? We might pause to think about living in the moment and letting the world’s mysteries infatuate and at times puzzle us. Our posture toward nature might change as we meander in the outdoors.

Rediscovering a childlike virtue helps heal the breach between living in the everyday, and living out of enchantment. Living with the childlike ardor might serve our families, enhance our vocations and foster a sacredness that stirs imagination and leads to gratitude in our relationships.
